Description:

Displays a player phrase (and the associated AI response), as defined in cfgConversations, or a new message not defined in the Conversation System (see the VBS Scripting Manual).

Note: The Conversation System has to be already open, for conversationSay to work.

Syntax

Syntax:conversationSay index
Parameters:
  • index: Number - Phrase index (starting with 0), corresponding to the right pane selection menu.
Return Value:Nothing

Alternative Syntax

Syntax:conversationSay [unit, text]
Parameters:
  • unit: Object - Player or AI.
  • text: String - Message to show in the left pane of the conversation dialog.
Return Value:Nothing

Examples

Examples:
Displays the 1st player phrase (and AI response) from the right selection menu:
conversationSay 1
Displays "Howdy" in the left pane, preceded by civilian name (civ):
conversationSay [civ, "Howdy"]
