Description

Description:Applies position and orientation changes to an object over a specified time period.

Syntax

Syntax:obj interpolate [position,orientation,speed]
Parameters:
  • obj: Object - Object to interpolate.
  • position: PositionASL - Position the object is moved to.
  • orientation: Array - Target direction and alignment, in the form of vectorDir and vectorUp arrays (optional).
  • speed: Number - Number of seconds the interpolation should take.
Return Value:Nothing

Examples

Examples:
_veh interpolate [[1000,10,100], [[0,0,1],[0,1,0]], 60]
_veh interpolate [[1000,10,100], 60]

Problems:
  • Some objects may be moved vertically (up or down) by the interpolation.
  • The movement of some static objects may be jerky.
  • Objects without Geometry or Collision LODs defined do not stop at their destination, and have to be stopped using the setVelocity command.
