Description:

Defines whether a light object is a light point (radial illumination) or a spotlight (directional illumination). Can also create a laser, pointing in the direction of the light (V3.8.1+).

Any previous light properties (color, brightness, and so on) are reset during a switch, and have to be redefined.

Syntax

Syntax:light setLightType type
Parameters:
  • light: Object - Light object (see Light Systems in VBS in the VBS3 Developer Reference).
  • type: Number - Light types are:
    • 0: lightpoint
    • 1: spotlight
    • 2: laser (V3.8.1+)
Return Value:Nothing
