The animation name consist of series of prefixes describing the contents of the move.
If the animation is a translation from one pose to another, the name contains both, the source and the destination moves, separated by an underscore. The second move does not contain character definition again, as the character (e.g. man vs. woman) cannot change during the move.
Avoid selecting animation states by constructing strings from these parameters! Use the manAction instead. See playAction.
The prefixes describe
- ACTION - General action (e.g. move, cargo, weapon operation)
- POSE - Unit stance (e.g. erect, prone)
- MOVEMENT - Movement style/speed (e.g. stop, walk, run)
- STANCE - Weapon position (e.g. raised, lowered)
- WEAPON - Weapon in use (e.g. rifle, pistol)
- DIRECTION - Where the character moves (e.g. front, left)
- STYLE - Special variations/Skill level of move (i.e Regular Grunt or Tactical Operator Stance - Optional prefix!)

- Acin - carry injured - injury of a character - the healthy holding injured
- Acrg - cargo - cargo animations in a vehicle including mount/dismount - deprecated as it's stored at each car's folder for now.
- Acts - cutscenes - special for cutscenes

- Adth - death - death of a character.
- Aidl - idle - when character stands for a while on a place with no action - looking around
- Ainj - injury - injury of a character - the injured one from a pair
- Ainv - inventory - inventory actions, baggage..

- Amdc - medic - medic actions, treating someone
- Amov - move - stand, walk, run, with or without weapon. Firing itself not included here.
- Arop - Rope - Climbs up/down a rope
- Atrt - treat - Wound is being treated
- Asig - signals - signaling - hand signals, saluting, military parade poses..
- Aswm - swim - swimming
- Awop - operate a weapon - moves dedicated to firing + reloading various weapons, eg. moves for launcher etc. - includes binoculars
- Perc - erect - erect, standing..
- Pknl - kneel - crouched down, when stopped, so kneeling.
- Ppne - prone - prone on a ground
- Psit - sit - sitting - e.g. for cutscenes etc. Can't fire from heavy weapons (rifle+), must lay first.
- Meva - evasive - evasive moves - e.g. from lowered walk suddenly jump away and raise the gun - reaction under unexpected fire.
- Mrun - run - run, still possible to shoot with aimed weapon. Note - prone is either stop, run or sprint.
- Mspr - sprint very intense sprint, impossible to shoot
- Mstp - stop - man not moving, standing in place.
- Mwlk - walk - common relaxed move, a walk. N/A in prone!
- Mwll - walk limping left - Walks with the left leg limping.
- Mwlr - walk limping right - Walks with the right leg limping.
- Mrll - run limping left - Runs with the left leg limping.
- Mrlr - run limping right - Runs with the right leg limping.
- Slay - lay weapon - for inventory - pose with a weapon just laid down ahead of a character
- Slow - lowered - weapon in ready state, not aimed
- Sobk - weapon on back - similar to unarmed pose, but right hand is in front of chest, as if holding a rifle sling
- Soft - weapon on front - much like the "on back" pose, but with the rifle slung across the chest
- Sopt - optics - looking through optics / sight or binoculars
- Sras - raised - aimed weapon ready for fire in horizontal position
- Srgt - raised - aimed weapon ready for fire in pointing to the right
- Ssrf - Surface - Swimming/Diving along the sea surface
- Sbtm - Bottom - Swimming/Diving along the sea bottom
- Slft - raised - aimed weapon ready for fire in pointing to the left
- Ssur - surrender - character surrenders
- Snon - no weapon - SnonWnon is for empty hands
- Wbin - binocular - binoculars
- Wbtn - batons - batons (striking weapons)
